Henderson Ladies Tea May 15, 2021
Henderson Hall will host an 1880’s English tea on Saturday, May 15 with settings at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Program for the tea includes poems and short stories published in the ladies Godey’s Lady’s Magazine, published 1830 – 1878. Also included in the tea is a tour of Henderson Hall. Cost is $25.00 per person and reservations are required. Limited to 24 people per seating.

Henderson Site Seeing Tours on the Valley Gem 2021
This year, we are proud to partner with the Valley Gem to offer sightseeing trips to the Hall on the Valley Gem. This particular trip will start at the Valley Gem Landing where you will board the boat and depart at 10:30am for the Henderson Hall landing. There you will disembark and ride the trolley to the Henderson Hall grounds and tour the beautifully preserved home of the Henderson Family. Your adventure will end with a trolley tour through Williamstown, WV, across the bridge and through Marietta, OH and back to the Valley Gem Landing where parked. The ticket cost is $20 for Adults, $18 for Seniors (55+) and $10 for children 3-12 and includes the Valley Gem ride, entry to the Hall and your trolley ride.
Henderson Hall Sightseeing Tours are held on Tuesdays in June, July, August and October. Tickets go on sale at 10:00am, boat departs at 10:30am. You will return to your vehicle by Trolley at approximately 1:00pm. The Riviera Restaurant, docked beside the Valley Gem, will be open upon your return if you would like to have lunch.
Valley Gem Dinner Cruise to the Hall Sunday June 6, 2021
Henderson Hall is proud to be partnering with the Valley Gem once again this year to bring you a whole series of historical trips. The Henderson Family has a storied history in our area but also played a huge role in the history of our nation. This Henderson Hall Dinner Cruise will begin at 4pm with a short trip to the landing where we you will disembark and ride a trolley to the plantation grounds. Guests will spend around two hours touring the Hall and the surrounding grounds. At 6pm, you will board the boat again and see it transformed for a wonderful dinner as you cruise the Ohio River enjoying a delicious meal. $48 for adults, $46 for seniors (55+), $38 for children (3-12).
Civil War Re-enactment and the Valley GemJune 19 – 20, 2021
In conjunction with Carlin’s Battery Co. D, Henderson Hall will sponsor its 5th annual Civil War reenactment on the grounds of this historic mansion. Union and Confederate troops will battle on Saturday and Sunday. Cannon demonstrations, Civil War camps, all open to the public, and President Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary will be on hand to share stories and information on what it was like to be president during this tumultuous time. Concessions are available throughout the weekend, along with hall tours, blacksmithing, wood carving, glass blowing, weaving, spinning, and many other heritage activities will be open on hand.
The Valley Gem will offer a trip to see the Henderson Hall Civil War Re-enactment. This once a year event depicts a battle between North and South on the grounds of Henderson Hall Plantation. This trip will start out with a full hot breakfast as we depart at 9am for the Plantation. We will have some special guests riding with us. As we arrive at the landing, you will disembark and board the trolley. The camps are open to walk through and the Hall will be open to tour as well. The battle will begin around Noon. Once the battle is complete, you will be taken by trolley to board the boat where lunch will be waiting for you to enjoy during your return trip to the landing arriving around 3pm.

The Mid-Ohio Valley has an amazingly rich history as well as a wide range of historical groups and organizations, who share the love of history and sharing. Bringing them together on the Beautiful grounds of Henderson Hall will allow these organizations and folks throughout the area to enjoy a day of sharing and comradery. The event is open to the public and there is no admission for all outside activities. On site will be blacksmithing, glass blowing, wood carving, weaving, spinning, and music as well as many other activities for all to enjoy. The event will begin at 10:00AM and conclude at 5:00PM. Concessions will be available on site as well, so come to enjoy a few hours or the entire day with us. Henderson Hall will be open for tours from 10:00AM until closing at 5:00.
Henderson Hall Antique Auto ShowSaturday September 25, 2021
Henderson Hall will host the 5th annual Pioneer Antique Auto Club Car show. The club holds numerous shows throughout the region. Each year, antique and classic cars and trucks invade the beautiful grounds of Henderson Hall. Beautifully restored and original antique autos, military jeeps, trucks, and muscle cars of a day gone by cover the open fields surrounding the hall. Hall tours and concessions are available throughout the day. There is no admission fee for the car show or music event. The hall is open for tours 9:00am – 5:00pm.
Henderson Heritage Festival/Valley Gem Cruise to the Event Sunday October 3, 2021
Spend the day at Henderson Hall, surrounded by folks demonstrating the making of hand-crafted items. Blacksmithing, glassblowing, wood carving, potters, weavers, spinners, antique engines, musicians, activities for young folks, and many other activities await you as you enjoy the day at the hall. Events begin at 12:00 Pm and will last until the hall closes at 5:00Pm. Admission to the hall is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
If you like, you can start the day by enjoying a Valley Gem ride, with lunch, to Henderson Hall where you will be greeted and taken to the grounds where local artisans will be demonstrating hand-crafted items. Enjoy a delicious lunch buffet served upon boarding.

Waves of History Sunday October 17, 2021
This trip begins at 9:00am in the morning with a full hot breakfast as we cruise down the Ohio River toward Blennerhassett Island. There we will disembark and enjoy the Island with a complimentary Mansion Tour.
At 1:00pm, you will board the Valley Gem where lunch awaits you and travel back toward Marietta. We will then stop at Henderson Hall in Williamstown, WV where you will get to board a trolley and be taken to the Henderson's historic mansion and beautiful grounds.
Docents will meet you there and help you as you tour the Hall. at 5:00pm, you will board the Valley Gem once again where a beautiful prime rib dinner buffet will be ready for you to enjoy as we continue cruising up the Ohio River and eventually back to our landing at 7pm.
It's a day full of history, riverboat cruising, great food and lots of relaxation and sites to see. We are excited to offer this trip on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 9am to 7pm.
Ticket price includes three meals, mansion tour, trolley ride, Henderson Hall tour and your cruise. A cash bar will be available throughout the trip. Book your seat early!
Henderson Hall Mansion by Candlelight Saturday October 29, 2021
NEW! Take a candlelight tour of the Henderson Hall Mansion on Friday evening, October 29, 2021. We will leave the landing at 6:00pm and dinner will be served as we travel to the Henderson Landing and cruise the Ohio River. You will have a candlelight tour of the Hall from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. At 9:30pm you will board the Valley Gem for your return trip back to the Valley Gem landing.

Start your evening with a short boat ride to the Henderson Hall landing, followed by a tour of the beautiful Henderson Hall family home. Henderson Christmas EveningSaturday December 4, 2021
The barriers come down and our guests are greeted to a relaxing evening with great food and live music. Docents will greet you at the door and you will be welcomed as guests of the Henderson family. This is a once a year event, that allows guests to walk freely throughout the home, The hall is beautifully decorated and our docents are friendly and willing to share stories and tales about this wonderful family who once called Henderson Hall their home. Celebrate the Christmas season with us! Cost for the evening is $15 per person. Only 100 tickets available for this event.
Henderson Christmas Cruise Saturday December 11, 2021
You will board the Valley Gem at 5:00pm and have a lovely Christmas dinner while traveling on the Ohio River. Around 6:30pm, we will land at the Plantation landing where we will be met by a trolley to take us to Hall for a special, ropes down, candlelit tour of the house. We will be greeted by docents in period costume to help us take in the house and all it's rich history. At 8:30pm you will board the Valley Gem for your return trip back to the landing.
